Our home

EASY, Long term sit!
We are a retired gay couple, looking for someone to sit for our 4 bedroom house, for free, while we are away. WiFi, internet, all utilities and cable tv, Garage included.
Expectations include keeping the house as clean as you found it and keeping an eye on our Koi pond in the back yard to assure a hole is always visible in the ice (no feeding required), water indoor plants, and shovel the driveway as needed while we are gone. We have a snow blower.

We will take care of all the house related bills while we are away except for long distance phone calls. Plants must be watered every 1-2 weeks. Fish must NOT be fed. Just keep an eye on the heater to be sure there is an opening in the ice for ventilation.
This is a tri-level home so there are stairs between levels. The grocery store is 5 min away and there is a mall 15 min. away. A lake side park is within walking distance, (subjective)
Looking for non-smokers, no recreational drugs. Prefer no pets or children.
Must have your own transportation and keep the house clean and neet.
Any questions feel free to ask.
Prefer a current police report.
Rv parking limited to C class.

We had a very cozy winter at this house. The backyard is really beautiful, with a grove of large evergreen trees at the back. Several deer came almost daily to eat during the winter. And the birds frequent the bird feeders by the back deck. It was a lovely snowy winter backdrop. And in the spring, we would look for frogs by the coy pond, and watch all of their gorgeous perennial flowers bloom. There is a neighborhood across the street that makes a good place to go for walks. And we found the den very cozy, with the big TV and the comfy recliner chairs. And Don and Charley were very welcoming, accommodating, and communicative.

Our winter layover housesitting for Don and Charlie in Baldwinsville, New York was an enchanting experience. Without a doubt the highlight of our stay was the wildlife channel in the backyard.  Who needs pets when you have a constant flow of wildlife visiting you. Caring for the diversity of indoor plants was also very Zen while the world outside turned monochromatic from the heavy snows. Thank you, Don and Charlie for the reminder that fellow travelers are a familial tribe no matter where you ... Beautiful home and community. Lots of local events to enjoy. The winter/spring view from within the home was spectacular. Watching the birds and sipping coffee was a peaceful start of any day. Perfect host.
