Our home

Hacienda de Angeles is a very private, rambling adobe on 3.25 acres surrounded by lots of large cottonwoods in the Pojoaque River Valley . It is a huge-but-cozy older one story house with 6 fireplaces, several bedrooms and bathrooms , a very functional chef's kitchen and a comfortable living area with a small flatscreen. There is wi-fi in the office but no network TV (just Netflix and lots of DVDs at the library a block away) The property is about 17 miles North of the North end of the city of ... Santa Fe is culturally rich with a wide variety of art and entertainment as well as lots of wonderful restaurants and consumer resources. The surrounding area is a playground for many different types of recreation and there are 3 good ski areas less than 75 minutes drive from the house. There are numerous good walks right out the door or from nearby trailheads. There is a 'wellness center' about a block away with weights/machines and classes . 'Metro' Pojoaque-one mile away-- has a food market, liquor store, hardware , gas stations, fast food and casinos, etc.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

Property has magnificent trees and views of the mountains. There is a seasonal pond and small river /creek running through the property and it is a sanctuary with lots of birds and wildlife while being a twenty minute drive to Santa Fe, a well developed center of commerce and culture.

Our pets

DogsDogs (2)
Suki is a 12-13 year old 65 lb.spayed female mostly Labrador Retriever mix. Jax is a 7 year old, neutered male, purebred 40 lb "Mini American Shepherd" (the new name). They are both 'rescues'. I feed twice a day: a high quality soaked kibble, raw meat, eggs and fish oil which the sitter can thaw and/or moisten and assemble. Dogs are fed separately with voracious Lab crated.... They have a large fenced yard and covered portale for retreating from weather but they sleep indoors and have numerous dogbeds. They get a daily off-leash hike on nearby open land for at least 40 minutes. When hiking sitter needs to carry leashes and treats at all times and walks need to be at off hours or somewhat remote and avoid reactivity as much as possible.

Our garden

Minimal - Potted geraniums come in for the winter and are not that minimal since there are over twenty of them....
