Our home

Howdy from Pendleton Oregon. A few years back my partner and I travelled the country as pet sitters through this very site. Now we're homeowners ourselves needing to find a pet sitter to take care of our two cats for about a week during the Pendleton Round-up. (We're flexible within a day or two,)

It's an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to experience Pendleton's premier annual event without having to pay at least $300 a night for a motel room. (If cat care weren't our priority, we'd rent the place on AirBnb for the week for at least $1500).

Our house is a beautiful solar powered artists house with a great garden, WIFI, a good kitchen and a plenty of food. Pendleton is a good town to explore, and our house has an outstanding view - you can see the Rodeo grounds from our window.

Sitters welcome to ride my bicycles during their stay.

Cats are pretty easy going. One is a distinguished ginger elder, the other a middle-aged female.

medicationMedication/treatment required

The elder ginger takes a liquid advil for arthritis. We'd like our sitter to be able to continue with it, as it helps his aches and pains.

Our garden

Average - Autumn, so will probably need to water twice during the week. Might be some fall crops to harvest, but minimal. (Backyard garden. Eat what ya glean!)

Joshua and Stephanie were welcoming and warm human beings from the first contact online. They have created a charming home filled with lovely artistic and creative touches all round. Their cats Granola and Darby were adorable and sweet friends for the week stay, easy to care for and very enjoyable company. The great coffee down the street was just the right start to each day of exploring the north-eastern Oregon region. This sit was a real pleasure altogether -- would happily return in future!
