Our home

I'll be heading to Japan on vacation and was hoping to find a person (or people) willing to watch my dog, Fenrir, in exchange for lodging in the Seattle area. The house will be available to potential house sitters and includes all the usual ammenities (2 full + 1 half bath, 3 bedrooms, living room, game/movie room, washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave, etc.) I'm also happy to have potential sitters arrive a few days earlier/later (a day earlier might be especially great if not local so ... The house will be available to potential house sitters and includes all the usual ammenities (2 full + 1 half bath, 3 bedrooms, living room, game/movie room, washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave, etc.) I'm also happy to have potential sitters arrive a few days earlier/later (a day earlier might be especially great if not local so can meet the dog) if it works easier with travel. There is an entire, newly renovated guest floor that can be used as well as the top floor where I live.

I can add a house sistter as well to my car insurance + am glad to do what I can to make travel easier (pick up from airport/transit, etc.)

My house is located between two state parks with over 600 acres of forest. I can walk to Lake Washington and am a 30 minute drive from Seattle. A great place for a relaxing vacation!

(Also, I do not smoke and would strongly prefer a non-smoking house sitter.)

I live near over 600 acres of state forest and am within a 5 minute drive (or 20 minute walk) to Lake Washington. I'm also a short bike ride (15 minutes) from the Burke-Gilman cycling trail. And I'm still only a half hour drive from downtown Seattle!

Fen is fed 2xs a day (dry kibble) as well as gets two pills each time. I also let her out briefly to go to the bathroom after waking up and before I go to sleep, as well as for a longer walk 1-2xs a day.

Fen is a 6 1/2 year old doberman. She is super friendly towards people and other dogs, but is very big. (So can be a bit of a handful for that reason.)

2 chewable pills a day of Pronin (for post spay incontinence) as well as 2 Trazadone per day (to reduce anxiety)

Julia was very communicative throughout the process and even though this sit did not happen due to a pet injury before I started I would be happy to sit for her in the future.
I enjoyed house sitting Julia in Kirkland. Fen, her female Doberman Pinscher though a big dog was well behaved and affectionate. Julia left me good instructions and well stocked food and medicine for Fen. The house was near a great park with walking trails that allowed me to walk Fen twice a day. Kirkland is a great area and lots of places to walk, shop and eat locally. Julia responded quickly when she had access to internet and we stayed in touch throughout the sit.
