Our home

This is a duplex down condo in a historic greystone building in the vibrant and diverse Andersonville/Edgewater neighborhood on Chicago's lakefront. The unit features a private entrance, large bedroom, office, workout room with rower, walking pad and weights (and Queen murphy bed for the occasional guest), a full kitchen with bar seating, and an open concept dining/living room with a large TV and couch to lounge. Read moreThis is a duplex down condo in a historic greystone building in the vibrant and diverse Andersonville/Edgewater neighborhood on Chicago's lakefront. The unit features a private entrance, large bedroom, office, workout room with rower, walking pad and weights (and Queen murphy bed for the occasional guest), a full kitchen with bar seating, and an open concept dining/living room with a large TV and couch to lounge. The home office has windows (and TV) on main floor. The bedrooms are in the downstairs which is quiet and dark! Our primary bedroom also has a large Roku enabled TV and king bed connecting with an ensuite bathroom featuring a large tub and separate shower. Washer/Dryer in unit. 1 parking spot behind the building - not covered. We all shovel our own parking spots in the winter if necessary. 1/2 block to public trains/busses but a quiet tree-lined street. Are you into birds? My favorite lakefront walk is taking the walking paths to the Montrose Bird Sanctuary a mile away. How cool is that when you are in the middle of a giant city? Want to head downtown? trains and busses get you there in about 20 minutes. Bike paths lead all the way down the lakefront to the new Obama Center campus, Art Institute, Lincoln Park Zoo, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, Navy Pier, and more.

MUST LOVE CATS! We have one older cat. She is the absolute primary reason we need a house sitter. She is on special food but doesn't require any other medications or special treatment. She recently lost her companion kitty and is a bit needy of attention so we just need her to get the love and care she deserves while we are away!

We are a recently retired couple that love to travel! We have 2 small dogs that we travel with most of the time and 1 elderly (but healthy) cat that needs some love while we explore the world.

Since this is a fairly lengthy stay we want someone that is clean and willing to keep the place in good condition. We do not have a regular cleaning service.
