Our home

We have a totally accessible home; all of the daily living space to include the primary bedroom and laundry is on the main level, and there are additional bedrooms/bathrooms/separate laundry upstairs. We have a heated garage for vehicles, and will provide a vehicle for our sitters use. The home is heated by our oil furnace (in-floor heat) and we also use a pellet stove which is easy to use. Total square footage is approximately 3400 SF. The home sits on 5 acres in a quiet neighborhood.

We love the peace and quiet of our area; we are about 14 miles from Fairbanks, Alaska and about 9 miles from downtown North Pole, Alaska. Easy access to both by vehicle, but not public transportation, so we offer a vehicle for use while house sitting.

We have two Basset Hounds, and two Springer Spaniels. They are healthy, happy dogs that get to play on our 5-acre property overlooking the Chena River, in North Pole, Alaska - just 14 miles SE of Fairbanks, Alaska.

Minimal - During the summer months, we have gardens and flowers that need to be tended to, but by the first week of October, everything will have been harvested, so if the listing is for later in the year, there won’t be any garden duties.

We are a semi-retired professional couple that travels frequently throughout the fall and winter months, and we rarely leave Alaska during the summer months - as few of those as there are.
