Our home

My home is in Springfield, on the border with Eugene in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. It's uniquely situated in a quiet neighborhood that has easy access to shops and eateries. Within one mile: Starbucks, Dutch Bros, Target, Walmart, mall, movie theater, post office, fast food, chain restaurants, local eateries, etc. We get none of the noise & traffic, all of the convenience! Read moreMy home is in Springfield, on the border with Eugene in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. It's uniquely situated in a quiet neighborhood that has easy access to shops and eateries. Within one mile: Starbucks, Dutch Bros, Target, Walmart, mall, movie theater, post office, fast food, chain restaurants, local eateries, etc. We get none of the noise & traffic, all of the convenience! It's about a 10 minute drive to downtown Eugene or the University of Oregon, less to downtown Springfield, and 15 to the EUG airport. Also only a 10 minute walk to the McKenzie River, and the Willamette isn't much further. There are well-served bus stops in every direction. Sitters are also welcome to use my bike, kayak, and paddleboard. Sometimes I can arrange for sitters to have use of my old car, as long as they arrange for their insurance to cover it- must be discussed in advance.

It's a cute, clean, comfy, small 1950s home with central air. Guests have a dedicated room with a super comfy full size bed and plenty of pillows & blanket choices. There's also a well-equipped home office and a few workout items. Large, non-landscaped, fenced backyard for dogs to run in and humans to chill in. Space is available in closet, shelves, pantries, etc. so sitters can comfortably unpack. There are basic toiletries available and of course you're welcome to use kitchen essentials. The wifi is strong but we do not have a television.

The dogs are trained to recognize the sound of the sitter's lockbox and will happily greet you on their own. This gives us flexibility on timing, so sitters never have to rush to arrive and I never ask sitters to do an overnight with me or long intro session.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

It's beautiful and so convenient to everything in town! You can walk to some shops (Gateway area, not downtown) from here and if your fit, also to the McKenzie river! It's about an hour's drive to the coast and mountains.

Looking for a solo or duo to sit for my two sweet dogs, Gili (8F) and Nim (7M). Both are 50-55 lbs, mixed breed, fixed. They're well mannered, loving mutts who enjoy sitters. They need two walks a day and some TLC, that's about it. Very mellow sit!

This sit for Kat with her two wonderful pups, Nim and Gili was one of the best ever. Kat's communication from the beginning was great and she explained everything to me about a previous bad sit and why she was a little anxious. I appreciated her information because it helped me do everything I could to put her mind at ease with her two babies. The accommodations were terrific and very comfortable. This is my second sit for Kassidy, Nim, and Gilli. As with the first sit, this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The home is a comfortable space in a convenient, quiet area. Kassidy makes it feel as though you are a valued friend visiting in the area. Instructions are clear. Her hospitality is genuine and genial. As for the dogs. Sweet and playful first come to mind.
