Our home

My home is on beautiful Lake Chelan, Washington, with my apple orchard behind it leading to the hills where I hike. The lake recedes in the winter time leaving a rocky shoreline. Sometimes we have snow, sometimes not. Last winter there was only one snowstorm. My home has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms and a sunken living room. Internal stairs, External stairs / steps, Steep driveway / walkway, After coming down the steep driveway, there are stairs to get to the front door. There are stairs to the living room and stairs to the two upper bedrooms. You definitely need to be mobile and able to get the dogs out every day.

Hank and Hazel are brother/sister and are 10 year-old yellow (red fox) labs. The most mellow dogs you will ever meet. They need a hike every morning to keep them moving. Honey is from Mexico and adores the big dogs. She is smart and loyal. Gracie is also from Mexico, 12-year old gray cat who is hanging in there along with Big George and Ginger, my two gingers who love each other and bathe each other.

Minimal: the big dogs get pills in peanut butter (down the hatch) to help with their aging.

I'm 79 and I'm still mobile, healthy and hiking. I also love to play golf and I enjoy time in Mexico during the winter months. The rest of the year I manage my apple orchard with wonderful helpers.

Important info

You need to be able to drive in the snow if we get some. Your car would have to be parked at the top of the driveway because you couldn't get out if it snowed. If I see snow, I go move my car.
