Arrow is a rescue. He is a 9 year old Border Collie/Lab mix who suffers from fear aggression. For the most part, he is a sweet, smart dog. But he is sensitive. He’s not vicious but when he is stressed, he will snarl as a warning. Heed the warning! Back off and let him be. He will not do anything he does not want to do. Just feed him, give him water, a few treats, let him in and out and let him sleep, chew his toys, and play. Don’t try to pet him, put a leash on him, or give him love.

Squeek is a female Tortie who is about 14 years old. She seems to be in good health albeit she has an enormous appetite these days and pees A LOT. She is very vocal and will let you know when she’s hungry. Be careful not to fall for her antics. She has a self-feeder in the bathroom.

FEEDING

Breakfast: They will both be letting you know about breakfast as soon as you get up in the morning. Feed the cat before you feed the dog.
o Squeek: ½ can of ProPlan.
 Feed in hall bathroom. She has a self-feeder in the bathroom if she’s still hungry after the wet food.
 Give her fresh water in the hall bathroom.

Dog: Arrow will usually go outside to pee as soon as he gets up. Then..
o Give him ½ can (¼ at a time to slow him down). He’ll want a second serving so be sure to split the feeding into 2 sessions a few minutes apart.
o Be sure he has fresh water in his feeder.
o Let him out for a poo when he needs.
o If he does a poo, give him 2 Pup-Peroni training treats when he comes in, and maybe a half of a Greenie. Treats are in the tall pantry kitchen cupboard.

Supper: 4:00 pm
Feed the cat before you feed the dog.
o Give Squeek a ½ can of Pro Plan.
o Make sure she has fresh water in her dish.
Dog:
o Give Arrow 1 whole can – ½ at a time a few minutes apart.
o Let him out when he’s ready.

Our garden

local_floristGarden or plant care

Minimal - Give the philodendrons (one in guest bedroom, one over the kitchen sink) a splash of water every 4 or 5 days. Watch out for the one above the dish drainer... it may leak after watering, so be sure that the drainer is empty before you water the plant.

Important info

We are vegan so all of our wooden cutting boards are available for non-meat use. Please don’t cut meat on my wooden boards. If you need to cut meat, there are several good plastic cutting boards in the cabinet next to the white Jenn-Air oven. They can go in the dishwasher.
