We're a professional couple who share our lives with three amazing cats. These guys are extremely friendly and need someone who likes to snuggle on the couch and drag toys behind them. We take great pride in sharing a home that is neat, clean and esthetically pleasing! We're looking for someone who will leave the house as neat and clean as as they found it.

Looking for someone special who will:
Play with our cat children
Provide daily cat care including: feeding, cleaning litter boxes, brushing.
Keep in touch with us via email or text. (Please send pics every day or two!)
Bring in mail
Water about 8 indoor plants, if housesitting more than 5 days.

N/A for short (two weeks or less) visits:
- Maintain outdoor plants and lawn. Depending on the season, we may ask you to water or blow leaves once or twice a week.
- Turn on automobiles if we're away for extended period.

About our home:
We fell in love with this house for its open feel combined with private spaces. Lots of windows and natural light, clean contemporary design, and low clutter. One and a half story home is tucked in the trees, so it feels very private though it's located in an established neighborhood. Ideal location. Five-minute drive to Research Triangle Park or shopping. Fifteen to twenty minutes to downtown Durham, Chapel Hill, or Raleigh, NC.

House is perfect for a mature couple or single professional. Master bedroom is large with vaulted ceiling and large attached bath (shower, whirlpool tub, skylight). Secondary bedrooms are not currently set up for that purpose but arrangements could be made. Living room and kitchen have vaulted ceilings and lots of windows, but in nice weather you'll probably spend more time on the private screened porch or the sunny deck with views of the woods.

High-speed internet (AT&T Fiber) and WIFI.

If you want a relaxing private space that's an easy commute to anywhere in the Triangle, this home is a good option. Great weather with everything Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill has to offer.

Additional information:
We prefer someone who can stay for for the entire period, but will consider bringing in short-term pet sitters if this is not possible.

We prefer someone who will be around a lot. Our kitties crave time with humans.

Although we are conveniently located to everything in the Triangle, you will need a car. Although we have two cars, we do not lend them out. We may need you to start them up while we're gone to keep them in good order, but we prefer to keep vehicles out of housesitting exchanges.

House is absolutely smoke-free.

It was an absolute pleasure to reconnect with Bethany & get to hang out with Alvin, Simon, Charlie & Chloe. She has very thorough instructions about the house & is a great communicator. The cats are a lot of fun! I look forward to staying with them again in the future.
It was a pleasure to take care of Alvin, Simon, Chloe and Charlie. They are sweet little kittens that are fun and full of energy. Bethany and Larry made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We would definitely return in the future.

Bethany was a great communicator & has a very through manual for the cats & the house which I appreciated. I had a nice sit with Alvin, Simon, Chloe & Charlie, they are funny & so many different personalities! The house is in a great location, I enjoyed exploring Duke & Chapel Hil areas.

We had the most wonderful time at Bethany and Larry's beautiful home looking after Chloe and Charlie. For starters, they are absolutely lovely people that we feel honored to have met. We came into town the evening before our sit started and after showing us around the house and introducing us to the cats, they took us out to dinner where we had a delicious meal and wonderful conversations. We came into town the evening before our sit started and after showing us around the house and introducing us to the cats, they took us out to dinner where we had a delicious meal and wonderful conversations. Never have we seen a more detailed house and kitty manual. It was beyond thorough and included every possible thing we needed to know during our stay. It was seriously super handy. We stayed in touch during their time away exchanging pictures of the cats, along with the birds and squirrels who came to visit to feeder, and Bethany and Larry sent photos of their adventures in Thailand, so we could relive our trip there from years ago. It was seriously a match made in heaven. Chloe and Charlie are wonderful, easy-going cats. Chloe was definitely more outgoing of the two, but we appreciated both their company just the same. Bethany and Larry's home is set back from the road in a peaceful woodsy setting. It was the perfect place to work (online) and relax for a few weeks. We would absolutely recommend this sit and would go back in a heartbeat if asked.

Very comfortable sit. A great house sitter's information book. Loved the cats, even the challenge of Little Winston and all his issues. We miss them all. Plenty to do in the Durham area. Don't miss the Duke University Lemur Sanctuary.
