Our home

We are looking for someone to housesit and dogsit for two lovable dogs: Reeve (9 year old Husky) and Otis (7 year old blue heeler mix). They typically walk 3 times a day (about 15 min or 1/2 mile each time). Otis can be reactive to other dogs so we usually make sure we give dogs and small children a wide birth. They both enjoy at least 3 walks a day and will cuddle on the couch and in the bed :) They are both very good boys and probably very spoiled, if I’m honest (as all good boys should be).

We live in West Seattle close to public transportation (if needed), 15 min drive to downtown Seattle or to Alki beach to take the water taxi across. Wonderful in town and near town hiking very accessible with a rented car.

We have more experience (and reviews) on other platforms with dog/housesitting and can provide some contacts if reviews of us or our doggos are requested!

We enjoy hiking, scuba diving, working out and we love to go up to alki beach and watch the sunset and grab a beer at a local brewery (future primitive). We take the water taxi to downtown and walk around Pike Place market or catch a baseball game.

Our pets

Otis (7) cattle dog - Lab mix and Reeve (9) Husky mix need daily walks and feeding (no meds) for our 2 boys. Reeve enjoys 3 walks a day and Otis mostly tags along but can be stubborn. We have a doggie door as well as a fenced backyard for them to roam and visit the neighbors who walk by. (More reviews available on another platform which we use more regularly for house/dog sitting)

These playful pups are very entertaining. Their favorite pastimes are leisurely walks through the safe & cozy neighborhood, chilling on the couch & of course, mealtimes & treats. Laine provided great instructions & was easy to reach the entire time. Nearby shopping & restaurants make it easy to acquire everything you need. There are also a couple of neighborhood lending libraries within a block.
Laine was an excellent communicator. She emailed us detailed instructions several weeks before our house sit. The dogs were great and easy to care for. It was an enjoyable stay.
We loved having you and I’m sure the dogs enjoyed the cuddles :)
