Our home

Hello~ We have a small permaculture farm in the Ozarks near the Missouri/Arkansas border in a professionally cleaned home where we hold events and sell organically grown vegetables. We mostly are concerned with having someone trustworthy that will respect the space and pay attention to our pet family and grow areas. Experience with plants and gardening is a bonus.

We have houseplants and porch plants that would need some water. Everything else is on an automatic timer, but in times of excessive heat additional hand watering might be required.

If you love nature, this is a great place to be. We live in a rural areas near creeks, lakes and rivers. If looking for more nature adventures there is beautiful scenery and hikes to be explored in the surrounding areas. It is no problem to go out adventuring and leaving the pets during the day or for a night. (We have family nearby that can watch things for a night.) The neighboring town is a quaint little tourist spot by the river with some shops, eateries, and a tavern with live music from time to time.

This area is a beautiful rural place tucked into the Ozarks. It’s safe on a pretty quiet road aside from the neighboring farm’s tractor or dump truck that may go by.

There’s minimal options for grocery shopping, restaurants, bars etc. there are options just not in abundance vs city life.

Our dog, Yogi, is a golden retriever/German Shepard mix. He gets a lot of attention from us, so we like to have someone that truly likes dogs. We have one cat that hides around in the house and two others that like staying outside.

Average - We have a greenhouse and other vegetable grow areas on the property that require attention. Most of the areas are on watering timers but need to be checked to ensure everything is getting water. If issues arise, our son lives nearby and can be called to fix any issues. We also need an eye on the plants in case they seem to have an issue that can be tended to by the house sitter such as using organic spray on leaves or removing damaged plants. We also have house plants.

Important info

We are a vegan family, however, do not require a vegan house sitter.

We are a chemical free venue. We ask no perfumes, candles, air fresheners, fabric softeners etc. be used. We provide homemade laundry detergent and diffusers, if needed.
