Our home

We have a 1967 house in a charming, older neighborhood in Olympia that we’ve been fixing up to restore to its mid-century glory. All of our decorations are vintage, and we’re big fans of fun colors! Some of the rooms are finished, while others are still a work in progress. You would have access to our backyard, and we live just a 5-minute walk from an amazing neighborhood bakery (San Francisco Bakery) and hiking trails (Mission Creek Park). Our neighborhood is quiet and a great place for walks. We're also close to a bus line (buses are free to ride in our county). Downtown Olympia is just a 30-minute walk away (or a faster bus ride), filled with cute shops and restaurants. There are tons of local hiking trails, and we’re about half a mile from Puget Sound. Mount Rainier National Park is just 1.5 hours away.

You’re welcome to make full use of our house, including the two living rooms, a guest bedroom with a queen mattress, our kitchen (dishwasher included), and laundry room. We have one bathroom.

There is SO much to do in the Olympia area. It is jam packed with treasures, but also off the tourist trail, so it is peaceful to explore. Literally unlimited hiking trails nearby. You can get to our house from the Sea-Tac airport using public transport for $3!

Our pets

We have three black kitties, two are friendly (Hazel and Fern) and Barry is a scardy cat and will hide while you are here. Our cats are fed once a day, so each evening (sometime between 5pm-11pm) the cats need to get wet food, dry food, and water. Scoop the cat litter every couple days.

We do require a quick daily check-in text just to let us know everything is okay. Kitty pictures are always appreciated!

Fern and Hazel are friendly and enjoy attention. Barry is a total sweetheart, but is scared of anyone who is not his mom or dad. He is a hider and you will not see much of him.

medicationMedication/treatment required

Fern gets a daily Prozac, and Barry gets a thyroid pill and steriod, both of these are relatively easy to give by putting in a treat. We give meds at the same time we feed them.
