Our home

Split-level home in unincorporated West Chicago. (Feels a bit "off the beaten path", but it's not -- best of both worlds.) Upper level is kitchen, living room, dining room, and primary bedrooms. Lower level is family room, guest room, guest bath, and laundry. WiFi mesh throughout the house. Fenced in back yard with access from garage, from main entry foyer, and from lower level. Close driving distance to restaurants, gas, groceries, Planet Fitness, and urgent care.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

Someone recently told me he felt like he was in the Wisconsin Northwoods when he visited this neighborhood. A relatively quiet, very safe neighborhood. A few restaurants and gas stations are minutes away. ~5 minutes to Aldi, or ~10 minutes to Wal-mart, Target, and more restaurants and shops.

Internal stairs, There is a step up to the front door, and a step down from the back/foyer door to the main patio. A few stairs to the lower patio (if you ever use the lower level door). The dogs are used to going in and out through the back door. There is an above ground pool, but it will be closed/covered for the season.

Two lab-mix dogs -- 7yr & 6yr old. Both are very friendly. One is more on the relaxed side, and the other is more on the spirited side. We have a fenced backyard, so potty breaks and playtime are easy. Our house is a split-level, so there are stairs. Looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter to care for the dogs while we're away and keep an eye on the house.

medicationMedication/treatment required

One dog takes an oral pain/anti-inflammatory every morning with breakfast, in a Pill Pocket, which I will have prepared in advance. Both dogs get some other supplements that just go in their bowl with breakfast and dinner. Nothing difficult.

Important info

No special requirements. Other than caring for the dogs, no tasks will be asked of you, other than cleaning up after yourself and bringing in the mail from time to time. Picking up poo in the yard will be at your discretion. ;-)
