Our home

As for our neighborhood, we live in El Cerrito - very close to the Albany city border & about 3 miles from Berkeley (& approx a 40 min BART train ride into SF). Our house is a 2 bedroom/1.5 baths and think this house sit is best for one person - please no couples or kids. We have a backyard that is nice to hang out in when the weather is sunny and you'll sometimes find Moo laying somewhere in the bushes, on a fence, or perhaps trying to catch a mole. Read moreAs for our neighborhood, we live in El Cerrito - very close to the Albany city border & about 3 miles from Berkeley (& approx a 40 min BART train ride into SF). Our house is a 2 bedroom/1.5 baths and think this house sit is best for one person - please no couples or kids. We have a backyard that is nice to hang out in when the weather is sunny and you'll sometimes find Moo laying somewhere in the bushes, on a fence, or perhaps trying to catch a mole. Our neighborhood is very accessible and great if you don't have a car or don't like to drive too often. We live 2 blocks from - the BART train, the Ohlone Trail (a walking/biking path that goes under the BART tracks), and are an easy walk to a shopping center w/a TJ's, Lucky's, Marshall's, Petco, CVS, etc, & a few chain restaurants. We are also walkable to several other things like: Solano Ave in Albany which is full of more small shops and restaurants, Oakland (approx 15 min train ride) or a drive over to Marin County. If you do have a car, you'll have to park it on across the street where no permit is required.

Our cat, Grayson, aka "Moo", is inching up on 14 years old & mostly an outdoor cat. During the warmer months he likes to stay outside most of the day & usually at night as well. He will occasionally come in at night and take a nap. He is not a cuddly lap cat, but rather kind of loner who thinks you exist to serve him! He is very much an alpha male and really thinks he is the king of the neighborhood! We love him in spite of his snarky personality!! Since Moo is outside most of the time, we are asking for someone to replenish his food 2-3x/day for him to access when he comes in through his cat door and watering our front yard & back yard.

Sitting for Paula and her family was great. I got a chance to meet Paula in advance of the sit and she made me feel very welcome. Paula is easy going, appreciative, and was quick to respond to my questions or concerns. The location of their home was the best! Walking distance to BART, Trader Joe's, coffee shops, etc..The house was super comfortable and the neighbors and overall neighborhood was very nice. Their Sweet cat Moo is very independent and stayed outside most of the time. So all that ... MoreSitting for Paula and her family was great.
