Our home

Enjoy lovely rural New England in all seasons! We live in a log home is in the midst of our Christmas tree farm. House has one guest room with queen bed, one bath in house, laundry, cook's kitchen with lots of cookery, gas range, dishwasher, WIFI, and more; open log beams, lots of peace and quiet, small town has gasoline, some groceries, a great deli, and 2 small breakfast restaurants; 30 minutes to larger stores. House has one guest room with queen bed, one bath in house, laundry, cook's kitchen with lots of cookery, gas range, dishwasher, WIFI, and more; open log beams, lots of peace and quiet, small town has gasoline, some groceries, a great deli, and 2 small breakfast restaurants; 30 minutes to larger stores. Many attractions and outdoor activities, as we are within an hour of many ski areas, hiking, foothills of White Mts; or take in a show at the local opera house. Also close to Dartmouth college and all it has to offer in Arts and medical center. Snow shoveling if needed, take care of our Livvy kitty, fill wild bird feeders, water houseplants, take trash/recycle to transfer station in town. Snow plowing is taken care of. Sitter needs a car. This is an unpaid position.

Livvy is a Russian Blue kitty, sweet and social, thrives on human interaction and playtime. Eats wet food twice a day, and a small amount of dry food in the morning.

We are a retired couple needing a pet/house sitter for winter/spring while we travel. Required to keep the house neat & tidy and furnishing as found. Garage bay for parking.

Important info

AWD or 4WD for winter/spring with good snow tires is best. Front wheel drive will work if groceries are kept stocked in order to stay in place until roads are cleared.

Sharon and Roy are very easy to get along with. Sharon is the main communicator and she is always prompt, friendly, and courteous. Roy is as well when you have to communicate directly with him. Any issues that come up, Sharon's glad to communicate with you about them. Olivia/Livvy is the best little companion you could want. She's soft and chatty and will curl up with you. Livvy'll play all sorts of things with you and will play by herself when inspired. The house is clean and ... MoreSharon and Roy are very easy to get along with. There's a sitter manual for you to read that has answers to most questions and anything that's not covered- Sharon is but a text away. I recommend sitting for Sharon and Roy, getting to love Livvy, without hesitation.
