Our home

There will be multiple sits in 2026 and 2027 so contact me if you have experience with horses. Lovely farm just outside of historic Staunton, Virginia. Wonderful downtown with coffee shops, farm to table restaurants and fun events. Shakespeare theater and lots of good hiking. Monticello and the vibrant bigger city of Charlottesville is only 45 minutes away. Nice guest room you can stay in, big TV with fast wi-fi. 52 acres to walk on and explore.

"I spent most of this winter on Jocelyn's property. I want to recommend her 100% and share a little about my experience. Most importantly, the house-sit details and responsibilities were clearly communicated and well planned out. Jocelyn had taken care of all essentials as well as providing a binder for reference. If you do need to troubleshoot something, she is a warm person and a great communicator, responding promptly - even from a different time zone! I never felt micromanaged but I took great comfort knowing that I could reach out about absolutely anything. The house is a peaceful space and I fell in love with her animals. I will miss my walks in the pasture, and bird watching in the front yard. This is a special place!

I have 2 horses that are retired and live in a open shed off a barn - they are sweet and easy to care for. I also have 3 elderly barn/feral cats who need water and food daily and a check to be sure their heated houses are still warm during the winter. One of them would come in for the night

Beautiful sanctuary. Jocelyn was wonderful-instructions were clear -she was available for any questions. The horses and cats were very sweet and easy to take care of. Lots of sights to see in the surrounding area, which is beautiful! Highly recommend!
