There are 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom available to petsitter on the second level and a suite available on the third level if desired. We are close to grocery stores and a number of retail shops and restaurants, walking distance to Meyerland Plaza. Centrally located in Houston close to a bus stop although public transportation is not the most reliable or convenient in Houston. Sitter may wish to use rented vehicle or Uber if necessary as some areas of the city are not easily accessible by public transport. That being said, several neighbors take the public bus to work, so public transport is possible to use for some destinations with some planning.

Please note that our home is a non-smoking home and we do not permit firearms or other weapons, concealed or otherwise, on our property. We expect that our pets and home will be treated with kindness and respect and our home left clean, tidy, and orderly. No parties or events are permitted in our home, no unauthorized guests permitted, including overnight guests or visitors. Petsitter assumes full responsibility and liability for following house rules. Operation of a business where clients would come to our home is not permitted.

There are external cameras on the property for our safety. Please do not cover, move, blur, or alter cameras.

Please note that much of Houston is located in a flood zone, and our area has a propensity to flood during very heavy rain. We ask that you keep this in mind when parking vehicles, bikes, scooters etc. Your living quarters will be on the second or third level. Anything left on the ground level, including vehicles is at your own risk. We usually park our vehicles in a nearby raised parking structure when unusually heavy rain is anticipated.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

We love our neighborhood! It is beautiful and walkable to a nearby shopping center with a large beautiful HEB grocery store, Starbucks, Target, Marshall's, many other retail shops, banks, clinics, and restaurants. In the other direction is the bayou with miles of biking/walking paths

Minnie and Blue are our two 5-year old terrier-mix pups, 30lb and 15lb. They are siblings from the same litter, though different sizes! They are extremely friendly, energetic, and love to be loved! Blue and Minnie enjoy attention and get along with everyone. They're usually let outside into a dog run for their walks. We typically do not walk them in the neighborhood on leashes and ask that our pet sitters don't either. We let them into the backyard every few hours, although the pups can go up to six hours without going outdoors. They are fed twice a day. When we are not home, they are crated. They are also crated at night. They're used to this routine and run around freely during the day when we are home.

Arlo, our 5yo kitty, has free roam within the house all day. He is shy at first until he gets to know you. Arlo is very affectionate once he feels comfortable. He takes one nighttime medication that we mix into a spoonful ofwet food each evening. His litter box is an electric one with a bag that needs to be changed out twice a week. Arlo grazes on dry food as his main diet. His bowl is located on top of the den console table and typically needs to be refilled every couple of days.

Our fishies are in a medium size fishing tank and need to be fed once a day typically at night with a pinch of fish food.

Our household plants I located on the patio and just beneath the staircase entry to our home. These plants should be watered twice a week. There are also a couple of plants inside of our home that should be watered weekly.

We have a gardener who comes and mows the lawn weekly.
