Our home

2 homes one a farmhouse
We are a retired couple with 2 well trained Labrador Retrievers. We live on a 300 Acre Farm with two houses. We have had great visits from retired couples that like dogs and want time to unplug in a rural farm environment. The updated farm house gives you privacy when coming a day early for orientation. We are a retired couple with 2 well trained Labrador Retrievers. We live on a 300 Acre Farm with two houses. We have had great visits from retired couples that like dogs and want time to unplug in a rural farm environment. The updated farm house gives you privacy when coming a day early for orientation. There are four ponds as well as 3 mi of river frontage. Plenty of room for our dogs to run and plenty of room to take nature walks, ATV rides, sit by the ponds, cross country ski and Snowshoe. We travel to see our son and daughter in Florida approximately one time per month (Nov to April) for 7 to 10 days. Looking for couples that would enjoy a nature experience here and yet take care of our dogs when we're gone. Our dogs stay in the house, a heated garage as well as kennels that we have for them outside. We have a friend to assist you if you need any help with the dogs during your stay or just a day off to travel in the area. There is an outside large pen for the dogs to run in for exercise so you don't need to control/handle them. Looking for folks we can trust with our dogs while we are gone and yet can enjoy the beautiful nature we have on our property. We are located 30 minutes west of Green Bay and 30 minutes north of Appleton Wisconsin
Things to do:
1. camp fires in the back yard with an endless supply of dry and split fire wood.
2. We exercise daily and have professional equipment with a high-end elliptical machine, recumbent bike, treadmill and weight machine. bikes provided - you will leave in great shape!
3. Visit the local nature center less than 10 minutes away
4. visit Lambeau Field 30 minutes away.
5. Take a canoe ride on the pond or 3 miles away is the Wolf River for canoeing.
6. In the winter, if the snow conditions are right, I take my tractor and attach a 5-ft lawn roller and groom miles of cross country or snowshoe trails throughout our woods and property. Plenty of cross-country skis, boots and snow shoes provided.
7. use of hot tub, use of infrared sauna, use of four wheelers/ATV to take trips around the farm and woods . Would prefer you come a day early and stay at our (2nd) farm house for a day so we can walk you thru the use of equipment and best way to work with the dogs- they are trained to “kennel”, “food”, “here”, “sit” etc.
8. Vast trail system to hike and walk daily. Early to mid-October there's a beautiful change of autumn colors.
9. Appleton is 30 minutes away and has a Performing Arts Center
EAA in Oshkosh- great visit for airplane enthusiasts
10. In my opinion, the best activity is to immerse yourself in the beauty of the surrounding natural environment

2 well trained Labradors. they are house trained. take dogs out for 20 minutes 3 times a day and feed and water them 2 times per day. pick up dog BM in yard and put in trash bin. this is some detail suggested by a prior sitter that is more informative: 7:30am. Have the 4-wheeler ATV running and ready to go and let dogs out to pee & poop, do the short loop-1/4 mile on 4-wheeler. Feed in designated kennels in the basement after. Feeding is easy. They all respond very well to FOOD and go into their respective crates on command. Each kennel and bowl is marked with their names & amounts. The dogs kennel very well and know the routine. Let them eat and hang out for about a 1/2 hour in their kennels. After the 1/2 hour, ride the ATV and run them around the big loop then put them in the outside kennel. For some peace & quiet, each dog has a bark collar. Don't be afraid to use them. Take them off if you leave the property. After the dogs are fed and go potty, sitters can leave the dogs for 4-6 hrs. Repeat feeding at 4:00pm. Dog are in heated garage kennels for the night at 8:30pm.
