Sterling Virginia

I live near the Washington DC Metro area and need someone to house-sit and take care of my cat, Gizmo, a 17-year-old Calico-Torbie. Their primary responsibilities are to care for and feed Gizmo. Daily cleaning of the litter box, and providing access to kitty yard (by opening kitty door) when you are there; Watering, as needed, for my indoor plants (up to 4); If there is a dry spell, watering two small outdoor areas. There is no need to mow the 1/4 acre lawn.

I live in a quiet neighborhood in the suburbs of Northern Virginia outside the DC metro area. My home is a split level with the living-dining and kitchen on the main floor, 3 small bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, and a family room with a half bath and TV downstairs.

There is much to do and see in this area including access to the metro and downtown DC by driving to the Wiehle-Reston station (a 20-minute drive), several easy-to-reach regional, state, and national parks, and hiking and biking trails.

There are grocery stores and restaurants in the area that include foods from around the world. I would be happy to provide a list of my favorites.

I do require that you provide your own transportation for this house-sit.

Wireless internet, cable TV, and local/national long-distance service will be made available for you if you wish.
