Menlo Park California

Hi there! We are a family of three (Lisa, Ricardo, and pup Hero), and we are looking for a responsible and reliable house sitter to stay with our little chihuahua-shitzu mix Hero while we travel to Florida for some time with family over the holidays.

Our home is a spacious, 11oo sq ft condo near downtown Menlo Park. We are in the heart of the Bay Area with both San Francisco and San Jose quick trips away.

Our unit is one of five in our building (with very quiet neighbors) and has two bedrooms and 1.5 baths. We have spent the last year and a half making it home and we'd love to welcome you this holiday season! It is walking distance from downtown where you'll have access to shops and a wide selection of restaurants. My favorite feature is the local coffee shop, Saint Frank's which is only two blocks away. We are also very close to Stanford University, Palo Alto, and the Stanford Shopping Center. If you are outdoorsy, there are also lots of hikes and bike trails to choose from nearby. You might also travel to see the redwoods as a short day trip while you stay.

Our dog Hero is a 9-yr old mix breed and weighs in at about 12-13 lbs. She is spayed and loves other dogs/cats, but can be reactive on walks because she is super friendly and wants to say hi. Hero is fairly low energy and frequently sleeps the day away apart from when she barks at squirrels in our back patio or at the mail person. Hero has some medication needs that we give to her with each of her three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Otherwise she will want to be near you on the couch or while you work in the office. She sleeps in her crate at night but would love to keep you company in the bed if you let her. She can handle shorter walks and excursions and can be left on her own for up to 6 hours.

Along with Hero, we hope you can also water our front landscaping. We have a young avocado tree and some lime plants that will need to be watered every other day if it hasn't rained.
