Welcome to our home! We are traveling to Germany for our 10th anniversary and need someone to love our animals as well as keep our aspiring garden alive. After overcoming a lot of health issues, we are finally taking a honeymoon/10 yr rolled into one trip! We have never left someone with our animals or home this long, so full disclosure- we have some nerves. We have a 5 year old mini dachshund named Charlie who is an absolute cuddle bug. He is fully potty trained, but true to his breed he does occasionally happy pee. We also have 2 rescue cats- Marshmallow and Nala- and 8 chickens! They are not old enough to lay yet, so you shouldn't have to worry about egg collection. They have a covered run attached to their coop, but if you want to let them out to play and forage in the yard, go for it! Just make sure you can shuffle them all back in. We will leave feeding/water instructions.
Charlie loves to hang out in the backyard, but please make sure he isn't out at the same time as the chickens!
Garden care- herb/tea garden in the front yard that needs watering every other day if it doesn't rain. In the fenced-in backyard, there are some raised beds, fruit trees, and a blueberry bush that need watering once to every other day depending upon the heat and rain.

You will have a bedroom with a twin-size bed and a comfy new mattress. You are welcome to eat whatever is in the fridge or pantry! We have several streaming services and VERY fast Wifi if you work remotely.

For those interested in exploring the area- our home is a 2-minute drive to North Chickamauga Creek Gorge and about 10 min from Big Soddy Gulf. We are a 15-minute drive from Downtown Chattanooga, TN and there are always fun things going on in the summertime- including several markets.
