We need a house sitter

Southeast - Miami-dade

Ginette

Hello! My family and I live in Miami Shores, Florida close to transit via I95 and local roads to the beaches. It's a local neighborhood and not dense like a downtown with highrises, so you can walk around and see parks, schools, and local resturants.

Our furbabies include a rescued greyhound, Jackson (16 years) and a rescued cat, Owen (9 years).

Jackson is easy going, a lover boy, doesn't typically bark and has special kidney food for his diet. If he you are home he will let you know he needs walking, if you aren't home these days it's hit or miss if for how long he will hold his pee. Usually he's good for 8 hours, but sometimes less so it's best to try and walk three times a day (morning, midday, and evening) instead of twice as was the case when he was younger. There are pee pee pads just in case and of course cleaning supplies. His leash and doggie bags will be left out with plenty of supply. Of note: he limps sometimes due to a previous racing injury, but unless you see it progressively getting worse, he is fine.

Owen will take a minute to warm up to you. Chances are you won't even see him your first several hours or unless he realizes you are the only way he will get fed! After that, he will snuggle up for love and attention. His litter box is in the garage and you can clean it as often as you see fit, no less than twice a week please. His litter and scoop will be easily visible with plenty of supply. Owen is an adventurer outside of the house, so don't leave the door to outside open even a crack - he will make a run for it! But, he'll be back in a few hours, worse case scenario but then you'd have to bathe him.

Both animals should be fed/given fresh water 2 times per day (morning and night) filling each dish up about 1/3 to half with food. You may mix wet and dry together or just give dry, but try to give the pets variety. Also, because greyhounds produce low saliva, it is important to add a little water to Jackson's food.

Jackson has pain medication for his joints as needed - it's not habitual. Both animals have toys, combs, treats, toothpaste and such but there is no routine schedule for any of that. Our pets are well loved and taken care of but not over the top. Both have all vaccinations and receive flea/heartworm medication.

No lawn care is neccessary - the sprinklers should be set to automatic and we have a yard company. We only ask you to please water the plants on the porch/hanging and the same with the few in the house.
