Experience beautiful Maine in Winter!
If you love snow, maybe like skiing -there is a Ski resort, Mars Hill, located about 30 miles from here- or just sit in front of the Fireplace and relax, you are coming to the right place. You can also shoot a few games of pool on a tournament-size pool table.
We own a log-cabin on the end of a road, very private, on a 5 acre lot. 2 pairs of snowshoes are handy if you would like to break a trail out into our 70 acre wooded land which buts on to the lot. The "snow" photos are taken in our back yard- there are always birds, squirrels, the occasional Moose or deer to see.
We can see the border of Canada from our home- so you know you will be on the very top of Maine.
Our pooch is a 6 year old white Shepherd rescue, very sweet. You will have to walk her on the leash until she gets to know /trust you. But that can be done right here on our road- you do not have to take her for 5-mile-walks unless you want to :):) Normally with us she runs lose- visits the neighbors, comes back 10 minutes later.
We will need a house/dogsitter for approx. 3 weeks in February /March 2025- but prefer you to come a few days before to get to know us and the dog. If january or february fits better into your schedule, thats fine, too- we have not booked our trip yet.
