Betsy

Historic Swiss chalet/tudor style home in Grand Rapids. Enjoy nature and wildlife at our waterfront property on the Grand River and you will be within 10 minutes of downtown Grand Rapids and all its breweries and attractions. Kayaks are available for your use and we are very close to wonderful bike trails. The beaches of lake Michigan and other lakeshore tourist areas are about a 40 minute drive away. The house is accessible by Uber/lyft and a bus stop is within walking distance. We are very close to grocery stores and pharmacies as well.

We're seeking a reliable and trustworthy house and pet sitter for several days in June. If you need to arrive a day or two early or depart a day or two later to accommodate your travel needs, that would probably be fine with us. Two cats (1 ~8 year old and 1 ~2 year old) and one 6-year old golden retriever will need care while we're gone. Our cats are pretty low maintenance and will probably hang around you for attention and pets. They also entertain themselves pretty well. The golden retriever goes outside 4x/day and is well behaved.

General house information -
Please note that the house does not have central air but a window ac unit is installed in the master bedroom and the furnished basement stays cool if a heat wave were to hit the area. Reliable wifi, Netflix, Hulu, HBO etc. are all available.

No rating Betsy and Keith were great hosts before, during and even after our stay. We're only a couple of hours away, so they were happy to let us come up for a day visit and get the lay of the land a few weeks prior. Their pets are older and their home is very unique and interesting, and they really set us up to succeed with helpful instructions regarding their pets personalities and tips that helped us be right at home from the beginning. No rating We had such a lovely time while we were at Betsy and Keith's home! Their home is beautiful, and in a great location for exploring the city if you so desire. Their pets are the sweetest- so lovable and easy to care for!

No rating Betsy & Keith are warm, open, kind souls, and their young old son is adorable. Their pets were well behaved and affectionate. They made sure all was in readiness for me as their housesitter and even prepared extra information to help me enjoy and make the most of my time in Grand Rapids. Their unique old house was a treat as well. I hope to sit for them again another time.

No rating We sure enjoyed our time spent in Grand Rapids at the home of Betsy and Keith. Their pets Ryder, Corky and Rex were sweet and friendly, easy to love and care for. Their historic home was comfortable and well located to all Grand Rapids has to offer. They are located on the beautiful Grand River where we were able to kayak right from their property!
