Alexandria Virginia

We are looking for a responsible house sitter to care for our two friendly indoor cats and water our plants while we are away. Arrival and departure dates can be flexible.

The cats, Luna and Waffle, are young and easy to care for. They need food twice a day, fresh water and litter, and a bit of love. The outdoor vegetable garden and a small number of indoor plants need watering but no other care. A landscaping company mows the lawn.

We offer a stay in the guest room of our comfortable, clean, 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom house in Alexandria, Virginia. There is a grassy yard, patio, and reliable Wi-Fi. You will stay in our guest room with adjoining bathroom. Our neighborhood is in a very quiet suburban area. It is less than a 10 minute drive from the metro station, and the metro goes into downtown Washington DC in under 30 minutes. Alexandria is the historic home of George Washington and is full of beautiful places to visit. Many stores, libraries, gyms, walking trails, and restaurants are within a 5-15 minute drive. Buses are also available. There is a lot of green space here for lovers of the outdoors, plus easy access to city life with excellent museums and restaurants.

We are a down to earth family who have done a lot of traveling, lived with families in other countries, and hosted people from abroad. We would like you to have a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable stay here. We welcome questions and look forward to meeting you!
