I love giving pets company and reassurance while their owners are away and allowing them to stay comfortably in their own home. House sitting also gives me the opportunity to travel, experience different parts of the USA and spend time somewhere as a local rather than simply as a tourist.

I’m based in County Galway, Ireland, and one of the things that particularly appeals to me about house sitting is the opportunity to travel and experience different parts of the United States while doing something I genuinely enjoy, caring for animals. I’m happy to travel for longer house sits and would love the opportunity to explore new places while providing owners with reliable, attentive care for their pets and home.

I have experience caring for an elderly blind dog with additional needs, including seizures, which has taught me to be patient, observant and calm and to pay close attention to changes in behaviour.

I’m good with feeding routines, walks, companionship, keeping pets settled in their own environment and following an owner’s instructions carefully. I’m particularly happy spending plenty of time with pets rather than simply dropping in briefly, and I understand how important routine and reassurance can be when their owner is away.
