I ❤️ putting your mind at ease as you get away, and I also get the benefit of travel, new experiences, and loving on a pet.

I have pet sat and house sat for family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and from word of mouth for approximately 40 years in multiple states. I am new to House Sitters America: I signed up at the end of July 2026.

I love traveling - meeting people, experiencing the city, viewing the art and architecture, tasting the food, soaking in nature, sparking new ideas, and clearing my mind. Because I travel a lot, I do not have my own pet. So, I enjoy caring for and loving on yours.

I am a founder and CEO of SWIAL, which I predominantly lead virtually (and occasionally fly in) and a writer: I intend to start publishing in 2027. I was previously a University Dean, so I still incorporate what I learned during my PhD, but now I have time, creativity, and geographic freedom. I also passed multiple, comprehensive background checks over my 28 years as a leader and an educator.

I have lived in six states, all around the US, and in two countries. I intend to move to a different state, and I am deciding where my next home will be (as I travel).

In my free time, I enjoy conversing with loved ones over amazing food and drinks, attending cultural events, traveling, immersing myself in nature, exercising, meditating, creating, learning, reading, and writing.

Pet care

I took care of my dog, Sam, when I was growing up. I have also pet sat for dogs (all sizes), cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, turtles and lizards for friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, and those who hired me from word of mouth.
