I have been house sitting throughout my lifetime, and I find a lot of joy in keeping homes clean and tidy, and making furry ones feel loved and stress free while their favorite people are away. I also love travel and trying new places on, as I’m a bit of a roamer and nomad at heart!

I love to explore new places, meet new people, advocate for those with special needs, and be outside! Bonus points if there are horses and water. I have spent most of my life navigating barn work, handling, feeding, riding, training and I call that almost a therapy in itself.

I am based in Northwest Arkansas, but open to travel anywhere for the right fit. I would love to also bring my sidekick if possible, Cricket (female Boykin, 2 years).

Over 2 or so years I trained an abused horse to trust and love humans again, and also to build confidence to compete in dressage. I’ve worked with flighty horses of all personalities. I enjoy the handling, feeding, riding, barn work and all that comes with livestock. I have recently been using horses during occupational therapy sessions.

Melissa was great! After a couple of bad housesitting experiences in the last year, we were really nervous about finding the right fit, and after talking initially, I could tell she was going to work out great for us. She was super communicative, sent pics and asked questions when needed. We came home to a happy pup, a well-taken care of garden and a clean house. Would definitely recommend Melissa 100%!
