I love knowing that the home/pet-owners can relax on their trip, assured that their home/pets are being cared for as if my own. I love experiencing the variety of dogs/cats, of homes, of cities/towns. I love my state of calm and lovingness when being with animals.

I work freelance in-home and dictate my own hours as a writing-webinar teacher, which means that my schedule is fluid and can accommodate the needs of your pets. I've been house/pet-sitting for friends, and their friends, and their friends' friends, for nearly 20 years. And now (February 2026) begins my foray into traveling outside Colorado's Front Range.

When I visit places, I like to live as if I'm a resident, checking out the local scene rather than conquering the all-day tourist excursions. I'm physically fit so can easily walk/exercise/hike with/play with your dogs (all breeds). I will be happy to sleep with your dogs and cats unless house rules forbid it! I will have my own vehicle.

I'm peaceful when alone with animals. My pet-owners report that, upon returning home from a trip, their pets' temperaments/behaviors are normal, as if there were no transitions.

Pet care

Since 2007, I've been watching (in-home with overnights) dogs and cats of all ages and physical capacities, as many as three big dogs and four mixed-size dogs simultaneously. I can manage special needs, medications, personality quirks, etc.

I've known Nancy and her partner, Kristie, for 10+ years, but have been watching their home and dogs since August 2025. I simultaneously took care of a puppy and two now-deceased elder dogs, one with limited use of her back legs.
