We love the chance to step into someone’s world; the mix of responsibility and exploration that comes from looking after a home and animals. Every home has its own rhythm, routines, and stories: we enjoy experiencing those while giving pets the comfort, and attention they’re used to.

Trevor and I understand how important it is to discover and experience life beyond our little place in the world so we’ve travelled to many places in the Southern Hemisphere and a few in the Northern.

We live in a home we designed and built eight years ago on one acre of land—beautifully maintained by Trevor—just 1 km from one of New Zealand’s best beaches.

I immigrated to New Zealand many years ago after graduating from Pt Loma High School in San Diego, so it’s always special to reconnect with family and friends when I return to the US.

We’ve had dogs (mostly Jack Russells) and a few cats, and with the sheep, horses, cows, and ducks surrounding our home, life has often been delightfully noisy.

Pet care

Trevor and I have been pet sitting for friends while they travel both overseas and domestically; both short term (days) and long term (1+ months) for cats, dogs, fish and lizards. We are currently the 'foster parents' of a dog as required.
