We love caring for people's pets! We have built so many relationships with people and their fur families over the past few years. We wouldn't trade our travels for the world.

Our experience
10+ years

1998–2005
John lived and worked on a 120-acre off-grid ranch, completely powered by solar and wind. The property included three homes and four cottages, all of which I helped maintain—handling the power and water systems for every building. 10+ years

1998–2005
John lived and worked on a 120-acre off-grid ranch, completely powered by solar and wind. The property included three homes and four cottages, all of which I helped maintain—handling the power and water systems for every building. Alongside these responsibilities, I cared for a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, and goats.

2006–2007
John managed a 4,000-square-foot executive home on three acres in Morgan Hill, California, featuring a pool and a full-sized basketball court, beautiful lawns surrounding both. My role covered all aspects of property care, from yard and landscape maintenance to indoor cleaning and organization. I also oversaw the refinishing and modification of a large wooden deck, coordinating the entire project working directly with contractors to ensure the job was done right. In addition and simultaneously , I maintained a neighboring 2,500-square-foot home on 2.5 acres for the same owner, providing similar care and attention.

2008–2018
For a decade, John kept a foster home for infants running smoothly in Paradise, California. I passed a thorough background check called life scan and provided attentive, reliable care to the infants as well as the household pets—a cat and a small dog named Dove. Sadly, the home and the entire town were destroyed in the Paradise fire of November 2018.

2012–2017
John was responsible for the upkeep of a home on one acre in Ukiah, California, where I handled all yard work and maintained the lawn tractor, including sharpening blades and performing regular maintenance. The property was mostly vacant, so I lived there part-time during maintenance visits. I also assisted the landlord in finding a trustworthy renter for the main house while living in the attached apartment.

May 2021–May 2023
After the Paradise fire, we looked after a cabin in Long Barn, California, managing the property until it was sold. During this time, we also cared for a yellow tabby named Tiger—a highlight of our stay.

Recent Experience
We have been trusted to care for our neighbor’s two gentle pit bulls while he spent time with family, providing reliable and compassionate care.

Background for Angela,

Raised on a farm, I learned early how to care for a wide range of domestic and farm animals, including horses, goats, cats, and dogs. I raised and home schooled 5 children all of which are high functioning adults and together with my children, I have always enjoyed and taken pride in caring for animals of all kinds. My background and experience reflect my commitment to responsibility, reliability, and the well-being of both homes and animals.

John and his partner were an absolute delight as pet sitters. They were very friendly, easy to communicate with, and highly self-reliant. They took care of Tommy like their own, sending us loads of pictures and videos throughout the stay, which kept us completely at ease. Tommy had a bit of excitement peeing in the beginning, but they handled it calmly and patiently. They also left our home spotless. We would love to have them watch Tommy again!

We love country stays that last longer than a week & are currently scheduled for a couple of sits lasting 2-3 months. We do repeat sits. We have 2 cars and need hardwired internet so Angela can work from home. We are willing to do city stays as long as there is parking & free laundry.
