We like the opportunity to travel and have our "pet fix" at the same time since we currently live in a condo and cannot have pets. Having had pets we know how difficult it is to leave them behind when traveling. That’s why a trusted person to take of them is so important. They are family, right?

We had a Cocker Spaniel, Maverick, a Golden Retriever, Dylan, and a parrot, Obie. Our Cocker Spaniel went to work with my husband at our business every day. Customers and staff loved him.
Our Golden, Dylan, was a therapy dog. He loved the children at the local autism school and they loved him. He was wonderful at nursing homes with the elderly.
Obie was fun. He was abused before we got him so we had to build trust with him (wear gloves!!) We took him to the beach, for rides in the car ... We've sat for friend's and relative's dogs, cats, quinea pigs and birds.

Pet care

We watched our neighbors's dog often for up to 2 weeks at a time. We also watched relatives pets for several days in Ohio, Indiana and Georgia.

Jack and Rebecca were wonderful! This was our first experience with Housesitters America and we had the best experience with them. They went above and beyond for our picky eater, took care of all my plants and the dog poop in the yard! Communication was great. I can say enough great things about them. Hoping they are available when we plan our next trip.
Becky and Jack were outstanding sitters and are a very nice couple. They made us very comfortable right from the start and communication was top notch. The took excellent care of our two dogs and followed our care instructions. They were very flexible with arrival and departure times which was very much appreciated. I would wholeheartedly recommend them and welcome them back!
Rebecca and Jack are the best house/dog sitters ever. They arrived a day early just to make sure they had all the information they needed. Immediately all of our animals were standing waiting for some loving (they say animals know if you are a good person) - this is definitely true. We were due back Sunday so Rebecca and Jack stayed Sunday night just in case our flight was delayed. Becky and Jack took excellent care of our dog, cats and chickens while we were away. Becky kept me updated with pictures along the way and was easy to communicate with. We came home to a spotless house and happy animals- we would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for caring, communicative house and pet sitters.

This is the second time Becky and Jack have cared for our dogs, and once again they’ve gone above and beyond in every possible way. Our pups absolutely adore them—and it’s so clear the feeling is mutual. My husband and I are completely over-the-moon about our dogs, so having people we trust this deeply brings an incredible sense of comfort and peace. They treat our home with such respect, too. We walked back into a house that was somehow cleaner than when we left. And the fact that they ... My husband, myself and especially our pups have fallen in love with Becky and Jack! They took such AMAZING CARE of our three dogs and our home, we didn't want them to leave. While we were on our cruise, they sent us pictures and videos showing the loving care they gave our sweet pups. They treated our home with respect and left it spotless. We are so fortunate that they will be back to take care of our dogs while we are away at Christmas in Colorado. They are truly an AMAZING COUPLE and ...
