I have just recently 'semi-retired' from a properties mgmt. position in Port St Joe Florida. My work career included over 25-yrs. in the areas of facilities operations and mgmt., primarily at multi-purpose sports venues and most recently, resort communities.

At this point, I am looking to keep my options open on locating to the south= east or, potentially, the northeast regions of the country, and thought a longer term house-sitting venture in these regions would afford the opportunity to investigate these areas.

Originally from Massachusetts, I have lived and traveled extensively across the U.S. including 25-yrs. in Alaska, and over 10 yrs in New England incl., the Berkshires region of Massachusetts and Connecticut, as well as a few years in the White Mountain region of New Hampshire.

I am in excellent health, non-smoker/drinker, with strong 'handy skills' along with exc. mechanical knowlwdge. I have a compassionate/caring demenure with pets/animals, and would treat the owners home and property with the care and respect as it where my own. Of course, I would be happy to provide references, background information and resume.

When we found Bob, we hit the house-sitter jackpot! He’s honest, responsible, and pays attention to detail. While we were gone, Bob made sure everything was running smoothly and was communicative throughout our absence. When there was a slight threat of heavy storm activity, he made sure he knew how to run the generator, removed everything from the patio, and kept us posted on weather conditions for our area. When we came home after being away for five-and-a-half weeks, the house was immaculate, the yard was mowed, and the plants were thriving. We’ll be calling on Bob again without hesitation.

Bob took a short notice house sitting for me that lasted 6 weeks. Not only did he care for my home, but he also ensured my vehicle was started occasionally- so no dead battery when I got home! Bob also sent a reassuring update once a week so I knew all was well.
Bob is a conscientious and considerate house sitter. I think he likes to stay home and putter around working on his car. This worked out well for me because it was a long term sit and my cats had someone who liked to stay home. My neighbors tell me he was out blowing leaves off of my driveway daily and cleaning up around the house. They speak very highly of him. The central AC broke down during his stay and he knew exactly what was wrong from his experience as a facilities manager. The ... MoreBob is a conscientious and considerate house sitter. The home warranty company came to repair and Bob let me know they did a good job. He took care of my Roomba and made sure to keep it running. The cats were taken care of and flea meds were administered like clockwork. He also made special effort to clean and tidy the place up upon his departure.
