I’m a 62-year-old non-smoker, single, and health-conscious, with a love for travel, books, writing, and culinary arts. I’ve completed multiple long-term sits, including two six-month stays in Chile. I come highly recommended by homeowners for my maturity, attention to detail, and ability to maintain a peaceful, well-kept home.

As a former homeowner who has renovated multiple properties, I bring hands-on knowledge of home maintenance and a deep sense of responsibility. I was raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, where my connection to land and gardening began—skills I still value and bring with me.

Currently, I work remotely in the areas of health and wellness and require access to reliable high-speed Wifi. I am a certified Qoya-inspired movement teacher, Daring to Rest facilitator, Culinary Nutrition Expert, and Functional Nutrition Health Coach. I hold a Master’s degree in Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Economics, following a successful 22-year corporate career in Marketing and Communications.

I’m seeking long-term house sits (1 month or more) in Canada or the U.S. Ideally, I’m looking for a quiet space close to nature with a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable workspace, and reliable internet, as I continue writing my book and serving clients online.

This was a wonderful first experience with house sitters Canada. Laurie is a true gem - so easy to deal with, wonderful communication, and both the house and the kitten were amazingly well looked after. Our experience with Laurie as house sitter has been top notch. From start to finish communication has been excellent and Laurie left our house very clean and tidy and cared for the property as we’d asked. Laurie impressed as a very warm, friendly, trustworthy woman and I’d have her again in the future if the need arises.
I feel so lucky to have been able to find Laurie. Laurie cat sat for four months. That is a long time to be far away. When I returned the house and the cats looked the best they have in a long time. Don't get me wrong I put a lot of care in to them, but Laurie is just phenomenal. She is thorough, reliable, thoughtful,, attentive and communicates perfectly. Laurie made sure to check in with us regularly to keep us updated that all was going well with the house, etc. Laurie is very conscious to make certain that the kitchen tools she did not use were placed back to their original place. After a few days of leaving she communicated with us to confirm that she had closed up the house as instructed. We have not returned back from our holidays yet so we cannot comment on the house condition but we are certain all will be perfect. We would highly ... Laurie is dependable, trustworthy, and a pleasure to work with. She took care of our house for nearly 4 months. That included overseeing a big garden (with no irrigation) and a pond full of koi fish. Everything was in perfect condition when we returned. I would have no hesitation about having her housesit for us again.
