I've been dog- and cat-sitting for a few years now and twice cared for horses (5 in Memphis; 2 in France). I also pet-sit via Rover.com. I enjoy the pets' companionship and meeting the owners. I regularly stay in the pet's/owners' homes and that has been enjoyable.
As a teen, I was a fearless youth hosteler traveling all over Europe solo on my bike for months on end. Wanderlust is ever-present and I look forward to exploring while taking the best care of your precious home/property and pets.

Jill's care of my dog and my home while I was away exceeded all of my expectations. She followed all of my instructions, kept me updated on my dog, made sure he was exercised each morning before the hot temperatures of the day. I returned to a tidy, clean house also...what a treat! I felt confident leaving my dog and home in her hands; because of her, I was able to enjoy each moment of my time away without a shred of worry. I would enlist her help again without hesitation!
It was an incredible delight getting to know Jill. We communicated frequently before her arrival day and during our trip. Caring for our 4 pets was not a simple task, especially during meal time, and she was focused on making sure she understood our verbal and written instructions. She is passionate about leading an active lifestyle, so visiting a city/area with ample opportunities for outdoor activities will excite her. Jill took such amazing care of my 3 fur babies and my home! Communication was great with her, and I loved the daily photos and updates I received while I was away! Jill was a great housesitter! We did not get to meet so we had a couple of calls before she arrived. Then I left a lot of notes for her on pet care, the apartment and photos and videos for her to refer to. She asked lots of sensible questions and sent me many updates during her time with us. It was reassuring to see photos of the pets looking relaxed and well-cared for. She seemed to manage the birdies very well and they were able to get plenty of free-flying time with her. I'm thinking $20 a day --making this a "paid sit" -- might help people undertake the duties. You're potentially competing against homeowners with a single pet, after all. JILL

Jill was fantastic. This was my first time using Housesitters and I was a bit nervous. Jill made me feel comfortable, took great care of the dog and two cats and the house, and we had regular communication. I would highly recommend Jill. Thanks, Mark
We can't thank Jill enough for doing such a fantastic job taking care of Harley, our 100 lb lab, who she took on daily walks & sent us pictures. Our 16 yr old cat Libby is still crying that she is gone. Jill is so friendly and personable. We also told her that she could invite her college age son to visit while she was here. Gus was so nice also that either one can come back any time. You would be very fortunate to have JILL take care of your pets & house.
Jill agreed to house sit and we had comunication - phone calls, email, video chat. In advance of her stay I shared mutliple page notes on animal care and house info. She arrived after I left and before I came home. The cats were okay and the house was tidy. Other agreed upon and discussed tasks (approx 1/2 hr/day) were not performed. Most importantly, chickens had no water when I returned and were not given feed all week (new feed bag not used). Plants in the small greenhouse were dry and ... Kitty litter box had not been cleaned in four days (nothing in the garbage). I was dismayed and disappointed - this was my first trip in 3 1/2 yrs. Not trustworthy. Initially things were fine, had a 30 min call to see if we were a good fit and exchanged emails. We settled on her arriving the day before departure so we could do a walk around. I offered to help with cost of hotel for the night. A week later Jill informs me she is coming in 3 days early. When asked where she was staying she assumed with us despite me saying multiple times we had a one bedroom house. This was frustrating as it required awhile to straighten out but we did work ... She handled getting the repair man out after my dog messed up the internet. The problem is when she left, she failed to mention she had broken the Vitamix and then completely ghosted on all messages. As for “she-said, she-said,” above, it is awkward to respond to any accusation because I am truly unaware of any broken appliances. This is the first time something like this has happened after I have left the home. The owner returned home after we traded off her vehicle at the airport, an arrangement which was much appreciated. It was a long 26-day stay with issues like the strong 130-pound dog eating through the internet wire that was two feet above the ground, and me having to go to local stores & the library for internet for 2 days to do my full-time writing work, and arranging & awaiting the service man for 6 hours. It is now fixed & a better situation.

Jill was a nice person and I felt I could trust her. I don’t intend to go into all the items I was not especially happy with as it would sound a little petty. It was really just a number of inconsequential things, but the glaring error on her part was the extensive use of my car when I had specifically said NOT to use it. When I questioned her about it, she lied. Bottom line is, although she is pleasant, I wouldn’t use her again.
Jill did a great job for us during our week away. From the first communication to the last she was prompt, experienced and inspired our confidence in her as a house-pet sitter. When we got home from our trip Barkley was in tip-top form and everything in the house was fine. We hope Jill will consider sitting for us again at a future date. Thank you!
Jill was a delight to have in our home! She has a sparkling personality, is willing to help in any way, and did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs, cat, and horses. She communicated clearly and often while we were away and we came home to a clean house and happy pets. I highly recommend her and hope to have her back more! I consider her a friend now. You will be lucky to have her watch your home and animals!
Jill was easy going and easy to communicate with. She loves adventure, so it was fun to tell her about things she could do in the area. She sent us a couple updates throughout the trip, so we could know our furbabies were in good hands.
