favoriteWhy we love house sitting

I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. Since we operate a bed and breakfast, we can't have many pets of our own, so house and pet sitting lets us enjoy caring for animals while traveling. We also enjoy meeting new people and treating every home and pet as if they were our own.

I have been in Corrections for 26 years. My position, "security of facility, hiring, and teaching vocational skills which pertained to culinary, horticultural, & Restaurant skills. Mike had been an Electrical Contractor for over 35 years. We enjoy meeting people and love animals. We own an Historic BNB home in Oregon. We have 4 children, 16 grandchildren and 6 great. Mike and Cherri house sat for us for 2 weeks. We feel so lucky we got them; not only are they great people, but they are responsible, reliable, honest, hard working, intelligent people with great attitudes. We were very happy with the love and care they gave to our sweet animals, and our home. In addition to walks and outings, they kept up with all our pets needs which is a lot. Cherri is good with every little detail not to mention great with animals (Mike too) and the animals enjoyed listening to Mike play his acoustic guitar. They went above and beyond taking care of our yard, and the leaves - even planting and transplanting I needed done!

Cheri & Mike did an excellent job taking care of all of our animals - 1 dog, 3 goats, and 5 cows! They provided updates throughout our trip, and we came home to a house that was as clean, or cleaner than when we left it. Cherri and Mike are great people, and we highly recommend them!
It was like having friends stay at my house. These two were amazing. Easy communication. Cherri and Mike took care of my dog, Max, and he loved them. If this is any indication of Housesitters America, I am a strong advocate. Mike and Cherri are friends now.

Cherri and Mike took care of our home and we came back to find it in spotless condition. The animals were well fed and taken care of. Our dog warmed up to them and went for walks with them every day. I would hire this couple again for a house sit.

Cherri and Mike did a great job with the pets. We were gone 3 weeks and received pictures and timely communication. Our house was in great shape when we returned. We would highly recommend them.

Cherri and Mike were delightful. They stayed the night before and we went to dinner. It gave us time to show them around the place and introduced them to our kitties. They kept in touch and sent photos while we were on a wonderful trip to Sicily. Upon return our house was immaculate. Kitties were happy and the garden is well taken care of. Cherri & Mike  exceeded our expectations. They came a few days early to familarize themselves with our daily farm routines.  They provided heartfelt companionship  for our elderly Mom and extraordinary care for our animals. This nice couple made everything about the entire process  easy and enjoyable.  It was such a pleasant surprise to return and find  everything so very clean and tidy.  We would highly recommend them to anyone!
I can't recommend this couple enough. They were outstanding. House was spotless when I came home. They even cleaned out the fridge. The dogs and cat seem to be in great care and was very fond of them. In the future I would definitely use them and recommend everyone else does too when available.

Cherri and Mike are mature, responsive, responsible good people. I wouldn't ever hesitate to leave them in our home for any length of time. So nice to arrive with the house and garden looking so well cared for!
