I am a retired business owner with a flexible schedule that I fill with volunteer work, grandma duties, and travel. Since I had always traded pet-sitting services with family and friends, it wasn't much of a leap to begin house sitting as a way of traveling.

While I'm in your home it will be kept just as you left it, and your pets will be happy. Bonus - I actually like weeding (within reason!) It's therapeutic, like popping the bubbles in shipping wrapper.

I have a dog of my own, but he stays home with a sitter when I'm on a trip. The picture I've included is from when he first came to live with us, and my older dog Dixie stacked both their beds up and got on them in an attempt to make Carl leave! I'd be happy to obtain a vet reference for how I treat my furry family members if you wish.

I'm a nonsmoking mother, grandmother, homeowner, scuba diver, cyclist, fair-weather gardener, and avid reader. I prefer rural areas over traffic, and exploring a neighborhood on foot or a bicycle instead of from a car. I am involved in my church, the Rotary Club, and a local charitable organization. I would be happy to provide character references before coming to your home. I'm not super proficient on social media and only connect to people I know on facebook, but if you message me that it's about housesitting I will accept a friend request to help us get acquainted.

Caring for a new furry friend is never a chore, and my favorite way to spend an evening after a day of exploring is to cuddle in front of a netflix movie. If I house sit for you, you will come back to a home and pets in the same condition you left them, except maybe a little spoiled!

I'm open to going places I haven't even thought of yet, but tend to look for warmer climates in the winter and cooler ones in the summer. Smaller cities and rural communities appeal when I travel alone; if a companion (usually my sister) is with me we may visit a more metropolitan area.

I would highly recommend Brenda for your house sitting needs. We will definetly be reaching out to her if when we leave again. She was caring and compasionate with our fur babies and took excellent care of our home. Her communication response was quick whenever we reached out for updates. Our plane was delayed and we weren't getting in until 2 in the morning so we didn't get a chance to meet in person but I felt like I knew her heart. I was so grateful that she went out of the way ...
