I love getting to know individual animals and providing for their specific needs. They each have their own personalities, which I enjoy learning about and catering to. I have had so many wonderful expereinces with my connections with these precious beings.

I am very responsible and will follow instructions and schedules for animal care to the letter. I believe this helps pets feel comforted and loved when missing their owners. I think it is important for your pets to feel safe, secure, and loved while you are away.

I have cared for animals that need extra care in terms of administering medications, and have cared for a diabetic cat and a cat with hypothyroidism for many years, making sure he had his insulin injections every twelve hours in addition to measured prescription food and thyroid medication twice a day.

I enjoy hiking and walking, so your dogs will love their walks tailored to their needs.
I would enjoy caring for your plants and gardens as well. I'm fun-loving, energetic, intelligent, and love the outdoors.

Of course, if you just want to have someone caring for your home while you are away, I would enjoy that as well. I'm a well-organized person. To put myself through school, I used to own a successful cleaning business, so I'll keep your home neat and clean.

If there is time during your sit, I would be happy to do a deep clean, to one area, or your whole home, if you are interested in this specialized service for compensation. In fact, I have a passion for detail-oriented cleaning. Many of my clients have been so pleased returning home to a sparkling home they could relax into after traveling.

Read moreI grew up on a hundred acre farm with cows, horses, pigs, chickens, geese, rabbits, cats, dogs, sheep, goats. We also had birds, hamsters, and a white pet rat. I have had all sorts of pets all of my life. I love all animals and I read them and their needs well. Being raised on a farm, and in a "construction" family with four brothers, I have a lot of knowledge and experience building, trouble shooting and fixing things. To me it seems like common sense, though I know these are skills I've learned from an early age. I am also an avid gardener, and do organic gardening. I have owned a property with multiple fruit trees and berries for many years.

I cannot say enough great things about Sophia. An absolute professional in every way and a pleasure to get to know. A bonus that she has special expertise in farm sits/animals. Although I don't exactly have a "farm", I knew that she could manage my multiple pets with ease and they would be in the best hands with her! With excellent communication and a high level of experience, I welcomed her knowledge and advice to help them all live the healthiest and "the most joyful life" possible. I am especially grateful for her going above and beyond. In particular, she worked on leash training our new rescue pup out of the kindness of her heart. The house was spotless, everything was perfect. I highly recommend!

This is the 2nd time Sophia has cared for our home and German Shepard and she is wonderful! She can be trusted to care for your home and furry friends like they were her own! We look forward to her next sit with us and so does our Gibbs!
Sophia was a great housesitter for our German Shepard dog, Pacha for 5 months, May to Oct 2022. She was very attentive to the needs of our dog, taking her for walks during the Texas summer. She tended to our dog's habits and got her to change from chewing rocks to chewing on play toys, as well as brought her treats for dogs with aging hips (Pacha is 11!). Sophia was attentive to our home and we came back to a clean well tended house which was a pleasure. Texts or telephone calls were ... Sophia was wonderful. She did wonders with both of our cats. When we came back, they were relaxed and happy. She found new ways to deal with the cat who is very fearful. It was a big relief to me. She took meticulous care of the house, did a lot of deep cleaning and was creative in solving problems. She loves to garden and did tons of pulling out ivy, vines, etc, She even transplanted a row of ferns, I hadn't expected her to do anything besides cat care and routine cleaning, but we talked ... Sophia was an excellent sitter, no problems with her whatsoever.. She even above and beyond expectations, removing some tough stains in the shower that had seemed permanent. She had very good rapport with our dog and cat. She's welcome to come and sit again.

Sophia was an excellent house sitter. She left my house in better condition than she when she arrived by planting flowers and offering to do maintenance tasks beyond what I would expect a house sitter to take on. She also took exceptional care of my dog, taking him to the park daily, and I know he missed her when she left. She was always good to communicate, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her on an upcoming sit or have her back.

We were very lucky to have Sophia as our house and pet sitter! From the beginning of conversations all the way through the end of the house sit, she kept excellent communication with us. Sophia took great care of Murph, sent us updates and photos, and left the house immaculate. Our experience with Sophia was nothing but wonderful.
