House & Pet Sitting - How it Works

House and Pet Sitting, how it works

House Owners need someone to look after their house and pets while they're away. House Sitters provide this service in return for rent-free* accommodation. It's generally that simple.

A wonderful alternative to cat and dog boarding - the mutual benefits are literally amazing. In terms of cost alone, a house sitting arrangement can save both parties hundreds of dollar per week - and that's only the beginning.

House Sitters America is the best place to start your house-sitting experience. We are friendly and supportive and our site is simple and easy to use. So have a look around the site and dive in.

*FREE: House sitting is usually free, for both sitter and house owner, although this is completely up to the individuals. There are usually some costs that need to be covered by either the sitter or the house owner e.g. electricity, phone usage, vet fees etc. How these costs are handled needs to be agreed before the sit begins. House sitters pay a single annual membership fee, while house owners pay nothing to advertise their house or to contact sitters.
