Nirmal & Shalini

Nirmal and Shalini are originally from San Jose, California, and will be moving to Santa Fe, NM in August of this year.

Nirmal is a newly retired aerospace engineer, and Shalini works in the non-profit world. We decided to embark on a one-year nomadic journey after Nirmal retired, we consider ourselves wanderers rather than travelers as we want to go wherever life takes us. We've discovered that pet sitting is one of the ways we can visit places we wouldn't have thought of visiting on our own.

We love animals, are looking for new places to visit, and will offer loving care for your pets and take care of your home, giving you peace of mind while you are away.

We have done a couple of pet-sitting gigs recently (a Havanese and two Native American Sheepdogs and a Russian tortoise on Housecarers.com). We have been pet owners ourselves - consisting of a water spaniel, a Golden/Yellow Lab mix, an Alaskan Malamute, a pointer/lab mix, three cats, fish and birds over a 3-decade span of time. We have also shared pet care for neighbors and friends over the years.

We fully appreciate the need to make the pet owner's time away from their prized pets as carefree as possible and we will do whatever is necessary to keep your minds at ease.
