House & Dog Sitter Wanted in Fairmont, WV
We’re looking for a responsible, caring individual to house-sit and look after our sweet older dog in Fairmont, WV. Our dog is a low-maintenance (though some times high energy) brown dog that needs two gentle walks daily, and, of course, some love and companionship. Our home is a 4 bedroom 3.5 bath comfortable, newer construction townhome with all modern amenities and a cozy setup, ideal for a relaxing stay.
What’s Around:
Fairmont is full of charm and offers a variety of activities. Spend your free time exploring these local highlights:
Prickett’s Fort State Park – Step back in time with scenic trails, historic reenactments, and the beautiful Monongahela River for kayaking or fishing.
West Fork River Trail – Perfect for a quiet walk, biking, or taking in the fall foliage and natural beauty.
Palatine Park – A local favorite with seasonal events, river views, and spaces for relaxation.
Tygart Lake State Park – Just a short drive away for hiking, swimming, and picnicking with stunning lake views.
Local Dining – Enjoy Fairmont’s small-town hospitality at local cafes and restaurants.
We are also within a 2 hour drive of the New River Gorge National Park (short-term lodging there can be arranged during your stay as well), the Monongahela National Forest, the Green Bank National Radio Observatory, and 3 different ski resorts.
If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with some doggy companionship and a chance to explore West Virginia’s beauty, please reach out!
