Diane and I are newly retired and ready for adventure! We own three houses in Colorado but now have time to explore beyond this great state. Since our youngest has graduated from college, we now know how an empty nest feels. Except we will still have our fur children: Loki, Looney, Lenny, and Lili. Fortunately, we have friends and family to watch after them while we take care of fur friends far, far away. We have watched and maintained many, many homes for family, friends, and neighbors while they vacationed. We are very excited about doing the same for new friends across the USA!

Details:

I am a retired Aerospace Engineer and US Air Force Officer. I held several security clearances throughout my career. My favorite assignment in the Air Force was teaching as an Associate Professor in the Engineering Mechanics Department at the US Air Force Academy for five years. I have always paid particular attention to detail at work and at home. Having owned homes for over three decades, I am highly skilled in all areas of home maintenance including lawn/garden, hot tub/pool, plumbing, electrical, and overall handyman work. I enjoy working out and hiking.

Diane was an outstanding Medical Transcriptionist...talk about attention to detail! She also is the consummate house keeper. She literally is the one who keeps the entire household purring like a well oiled machine, or a very happy kitty. She loves bowling and hiking.

And we love cats! We have always had at least one. So we know all there is to know about caring for these marvelous creatures. :)

We are both nonsmokers.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!! Rarely have we felt so at ease leaving our beloved Scruffy (and somewhat less beloved but certainly cherished) vegetable and flower gardens in the care of people we'd just met. They bonded immediately with our cat (Emma) and it was obvious that they understand cats. When they departed, they left our home in perfect condition. Very reliable. We were so lucky to have John and Diane stay at our home to take care of our boys. They arrived a day before we left for a 2-week vacation, which gave us time to go over kitty and house requirements. John and Diane took care of our house and pets for 2 weeks. One of our cats was having a uti problem and Diane gave him medication twice a day they also had to take him to the vet. They kept in communication with us the entire time and also sent photos.. the house was immaculate when we returned . They are very caring housesitters and I would highly recommend them.
