We are a recently retired couple and have completed six house sitting assignments. We have done an assignment in 2015, in Pembroke, Virginia, in the summer of 2016, in Easley, South Carolina, in 2017 we did an assignment in Shell Knob, Missouri, this was the only sit we had farm animals to take care of and it went just great. In 2018 we did a sit in Minden, Nevada, in 2020 we house sat in Bellingham, Washington, and our most recent house sit was the month of April, 2023, in New Braunfels, Texas. We did have a break because of covid, but are now ready to house sit again. The first five house sits we a length of about two months each and the last sit in Texas was only one month. I have contact information for each of these sits to use as references except the first sit in Virginia. That person has since moved and I do not have any forwarding information for her.

We enjoy working outside, gardening and over the years we have had two kinds of dogs, a lab and golden retriever, we do enjoy pets.

I would describe us as very neat and active and we would take good care of your home and pets while you are away.

My husband is a retired mail carrier and I have worked as a legal secretary for many years. We are both looking forward to getting away again.

Please note that we are from north central Iowa and would not be able to take an assignment for just a short stay of a week or less. We would be available for more long term such as a few weeks if the assignment is a long distance.

No rating Wanda and Mark were the perfect house siiters for us! They were very responsible and caring with all of our animals, dog, chickens, homing pigeons, and fish. Mark kept the yard in better shape than we do! Wanda had the house clean and well taken care of. I have no reservations about recommending them! They were the best we could have hoped for and flexible about our dates. We went to Alaska for two months and were kept informed of events at home.
