We are a retired couple who have lived in the Alaskan Interior for the past 35 years. In our early years, we enjoyed living full time in the off-grid cabin we built just north of Denali National Park, and are familiar with the challenges of living remotely. After completion of the road to our 20 acre property, Jim built us a beautiful home and continues to take care of all the upkeep and maintenance. He is a skilled carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic and problem solver.
We both enjoy the adventures offered by the great outdoors of Alaska in the summer, but prefer to leave during the dark, cold months of winter. We are generally available September through April, preferring longer duration house sitting opportunities. We enjoy visiting other rural places and like to hike. While we currently do not own any pets, we had the pleasure to call several dogs family members. Sheila is allergic to cats, but is fine with other pets.
We are both healthy, active, good communicators, and non-smokers. We take great pride in the house we built and the home that it has created. We are hard working and will respectfully take care of your home. We provide the peace of mind that comes with leaving your home and pets in excellent, capable hands, allowing you to more fully enjoy your travels.
