I sit for free because I think it is generally a fair trade but I usually do not have a personal car available for use. Due to this, travel costs including rental cars, ride shares, or public transportation can accumulate - especially when finding my way to and from more remote locations. Therefore if a homeowner feels inclined to provide a car, a travel stipend or any other monetary allowance, I am not opposed to it.

Hello!

I am an experienced, COVID-19 vaccinated, house sitter that has been away from the community and off the road for a while, WV has been keeping me in the meantime where I have been taking care of a two story home and garden with fruit trees. Now with Fall and Winter rolling around and the vaccination numbers rising I'm looking to get back out in the world.

With an adventurous spirit I can play a bit of a house elf or jack of all trades depending on what's needed. I'm handy with a pet; a cuddle; a feed: a dose: a watering can; a trowel; a lawn mower; a shovel; a hammer; a power drill; a needle...whatever. For the most part - if it will help - I'm happy to do it,

My previous house sits were done in many locations throughout the US, UK and Europe with my husband Ike. Some of the highlights include alpacas and orchids in France;an old croft and chickens in the Scottish Highlands; and a log fire cabin in WV. Adam was a great house sitter and companion to my Gatsby (the cool cat in the pin-striped suit). He was extremely respectful of Gatsby's space and left the house in perfect order with clean sheets even! He was extra accommodating when my flight was cancelled and moved to the next day. Adam did an amazing job taking care of our home. Our animals immediately warmed to his calm, gentle nature. Even our grumpiest liked him! He sent humorous and entertaining updates to let us know they were all doing well, so we never had to worry. We felt at ease being far away from home knowing they were in safe hands. Adam was a great house sitter! He took great care of the house and even better care of the dogs! They clearly got a lot of exercise while he was here. He was easy and quick to communicate. While we were out of the country he even provided us a few updates via email. Last minute flight delays changed our return plans and he was very flexible and accommodating with the changes. We highly recommend Adam and hope to use him again sometime!
