Caring for your "fur family" with lots of pampering is my priority while you indulge in R&R or work related travels. Peace of mind knowing your loved one(s) and home are well cared for is...Priceless!!

I like the spirit of adventure by staying active with your babies: whether it's daily walks, playing catch, tug-o-war, or simply basking in the sun or relaxing watching "Benji" or "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" is what you can expect during your travels. If there are senior or special need pets, rest assured, all will be well (call me the Dog Whisperer). Also, your Best Friend(s) will be well groomed and looking FANCY upon your return. Updates via pictures, video, or facetime is a Must.

I also have experience with the maintenance and care of horses by keeping their stalls clean, feeding, turn out, administering medication, lunging, and grooming which I consider Equine Therapy at Best!

I am very meticulous when it comes to keeping a tidy home and yours will remain in pristine condition. I have basic gardening skills and plant maintenance indoors.

Why do I want to pet/house sit: I love to travel, meet people and explore new sites...It's the Spirit of Adventure! Life is too short not to enjoy it, I take nothing for granted.

My chosen profession for the past 20+ years has been security, safety, and investigations. With that said, your home will be secure and safe!

I have background checks with state and federal agencies

I offer common sense, patience, attention to detail, respect and privacy for your home and fur family. I maintain principles of integrity and reliability. I am a non-smoker, no drugs, and maintain a healthy life-style.

A few things to consider:
*I do not accept sits in isolated areas, 420 friendly, cigarette smoke, or home-steading locales
*Extensive yard work and additional pets (more than 1 pet will prompt a fee)
*I am not available for home-shares or vacation rental management tasks

Dorrie is amazing!!! You can not pick a better Dog sitter!! She was supposed to only come in for two weeks, but ended up staying over a month due to circumstances! She took the best care of Henry. She noticed immediately that Henry has blood in his urine, due to an infection. She took him to the vet, and arranged for me to speak with the vet regarding all the tests and medication needed. I admit, I was a little skeptical using this service with this being my very first home and I had only been living in it for four months prior to my departure. Ms. Dorrie met and exceeded all of my expectations GREATLY. She kept me very informed with my fur baby, keeping up with vet appointment, feedings, and even daily walks/runs to keep him healthy. Dorrie took great care of our girls and home while we were out of town. The girls were well exercised and the house was spotless clean when we returned. Dorrie is a great communicator and kept us in the loop daily with activities through photos and videos.. I think both she and our dogs enjoyed her visit / stay. I would highly recommend Dorrie to anyone needing a safe reliable person to watch their home and animals. We would request her again and again if she's in the area!

No rating Over the last year, Dorrie has sat for us on three occasions. I can't say enough about her, she is outstanding, reliable, and conscientious. This last time she spent over two months during winter at our home and helped take of a very ill dog who eventually had to be put down. She was also flexible, extending her stay when a very close friend was diagnosed with cancer and we needed to extend our absence. The house was well taken care of and without any problems. No rating Dorrie took care of our 6 year old Labradoodle and our 300 year old house for two months. She is a pleasant person to work with, she is responsible, reliable, meticulous and very security conscious. She did everything we asked her to do with great care and she stayed in touch every couple of days with nice video's of Molly, the dog. Everything was in good order when we came back and the house was very clean. Molly also endorses her wholeheartedly.

No rating Dorrie was a great house sitter! She took great care of our home and our dog, Mr. Bates, while we were traveling. She went above and beyond our expectations in her care of Mr. Bates by taking him to nearby Shelby Farms for long walks, giving him special attention daily & bringing him a bag of treats. Dorrie made sure everything was super clean and tidy before she left out home after her sit was complete. We highly recommend her to anyone needing a house/pet sitter!

No rating We tremendously enjoyed having Dorrie house sit for us. She was extremely conscientious and took great care of our dog, Daisey, as well as our house. She anticipated any problem and reached out to us with news on Daisey and questions about the house. We recommend her highly and have already talked with her about sitting for us in the future.
