We enjoy travelling and experiencing new locales. Housesitting gives us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the geography and cultural attractions of an area where the home is located.

I am a retired educator, having been a teacher, counselor, and alternative education director in both private and public schools. My interests are running, hiking, camping, fly fishing, reading and gardening.

Colleen worked as a school secretary, an activity director for a senior citizen center, and a massage therapist. Currently, she is involved in photography, water color painting and birding, in particular, the sand hill crane migrations in New Mexico and Colorado.

We prefer quiet, rural settings, however, we are willing to consider any housesitting opportunity that might come our way.

Jeff and Colleen took responsibility for the most precious parts of our lives – our home, garden, and 8 pets. The attention to detail that Jeff and Colleen showed as we were preparing to leave on vacation was so reassuring that we did not worry about anything. They sent us daily updates with pet photos so we continued to rest assured that all was well at home. This was our first HSA experience and we were so fortunate to connect with Jeffrey and Colleen! They’re very warm, friendly people and we felt that from our first communication. We only had a few hours together before we traveled but we were completely comfortable when we left, knowing our home and Kima (the kitty) were in good hands. Colleen & Jeffrey we're the first house-sitters we used thru this site and we we're totally comfortable with our interactions while making the decision to have them in our home. This was the second time that Jeffrey and Colleen house sat for us and we would love to have them again. They send us daily texts with photos that showed the dogs were doing great and obviously relaxed and happy. They took good care of our garden and our home. They were also extra considerate with their noise level as we have a renter downstairs. In a nutshell, they are wonderful!!!!

It is so nice to return home from a two week trip and find the house clean, the bed ready for us to fall into, the kitties happy. No rating Jeff and Colleen were terrific house/pet sitters. They were very clear communicators, they kept the house in excellent condition, and tended to our dog, 2 cats, and 2 horses just as we had hoped they would. In the end, due to flight complications on our end, they were even willing to return to the house after having left, in order to make sure the animals would have enough food. The dogs were truly bonded with them when we returned and it was clear that Jeffrey had given them the exercise that they crave. No rating This was our first time finding a sitter for our home and I must say I was a little nervous. Jeff and Colleen were absolutely wonderful. Once my husband and I met them all our worries were gone. They're good, kind people. They did an excellent job caring for our animals and property. There was a slight issue with our pool and they handled it like a champ and all was well. No rating Jeffrey and Coleen were outstanding and exceptional caregivers for our cat, Jade, and our cozy casita. They valiantly went above and beyond the call of duty to stay when we unexpectedly discovered our propane for heat & cooking was low. A delivery drama ensued where their delivery of a gas was jeopardized by a long driveway that thawed and became muddy. We were on pins & needles waiting for the drive to re-freeze.
