Pet loving, mature & active Mom and daughter team!

54, Residential Property Manager

8, Playful pet snuggler

I'm a 54 year old single mom who LOVES to travel and explore with my amazing 8 year old daughter, Kira! We have two incredible dogs, who complete our happy little family and bring us so much joy! Although our pups travel with us frequently, they're also very content to stay right at home with my parents, who thankfully live next door to us! We don't bring them along on our house sits so we're able to focus all our energy on your sweet pets. Animals are our passion, and I have years of experience caring for our beloved dogs, as well as a variety of other pets of our neighbors and friends. Our family includes Parker, our 108 pound lab/great dane mix, and J.J., our 11 pound maltese/yorkie mix. Both are rescue dogs, and we couldn't love them more! I'm very detailed oriented and organized, and I have extensive experience in residential property management. This has given me the skills to keep homes in pristine condition, as well as handle any unforeseen emergencies that might arise. But we're most skilled in simply loving and nurturing your animals! Our greatest priority is to make sure they feel safe, secure and loved while you're away! My daughter has grown up with pets, and they seem to sense her gentle nature and gravitate to her. When our big dog gets scared during storms, she's the first person he runs to for comfort. Many nights he cuddles up with her and sleeps in her bed. And Kira's playful personality keeps dogs and cats constantly entertained!

Caring for someone's beloved pets is such a great privilege! They love us unconditionally and enhance our lives in so many ways. It feels wonderful to be able to return that love and affection while you're away. We're also very grateful for the opportunity to explore many places we might not otherwise have the ability to see. Travel opens up so much opportunity for growth and education. I want Kira to grow up confident and comfortable to visit new places, explore different perspectives and simply experience the awesome beauty that surrounds us. I've raised her to be respectful of others, and we strive to be good stewards of every place we visit.

I grew up with many pets, and I have a life long love of animals! As a child, we had dogs, rabbits, hamsters, a pony, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. We even dropper fed an orphaned baby squirrel, who would still come to us by name years after he was released in our back yard. I always cherish those memories of growing up with our pets, and have continued to be so thankful for all the animals that we love so dearly. In the past I've had many large breed dogs, primarily English labs and our sweet Parker...and now we're so happy to have a small dog too!!! Little J.J. runs the household, and he's been such a fun addition to our family. Unfortunately, we've lost two beloved dogs to lymphoma in the past 20 years. That heartbreaking experience has made me comfortable administering medications, and even injections, should someone have a more medically complex pet. Years ago, I went through the therapy dog training and certification process, and my sweet lab and I spent many days volunteering at our local hospital before she became ill with lymphoma. We unfortunately haven't added cats to our family simply because I felt our last few dogs wouldn't be good companions for them...however, I adore them! I have several close friends with cats and I love watching them, and I would definitely feel comfortable and enjoy loving and caring for them! I also have experience caring for tropical fish. Rabbits and other small pets would be very comfortable to me, and we would enjoy that so much!

We would love the opportunity to care and nurture your pets! We're the perfect combination of maturity, experience and playful energy! Thanks so much for your consideration!

Sherri & Kira we're wonderful house sitters! They loved on our dogs every second and spent the whole week playing with them and taking them for walks. Sherri quickly communicated if anything was wrong and sent us multiple photos throughout the week. We had total peace of mind while they stayed at the house and would highly recommend them to anyone! We hope to use them again some day!
