Megan: Pet Lover & Traveler

I am a pet lover and traveler from Maryland who enjoys petsitting as a way see new places I'd like to explore and, in turn, support other travelers, who like to do the same.

I am a non-smoker who likes to walk (dogs love this!) and bike ride. I would be happy to let your pup show me around your neighborhood or town!

I am organized and tidy and will respect your home and keep it as I would my own.

The care and comfort of your pet family is my top priority and I'm happy to send you regular updates, with photos so you can see how your family at home is doing while you're away. :-)

Why I Petsit:

As one who has had pets and enjoys travel, I know what it's like to leave a pet at a kennel... and know how much happier they are to be in their own home! That said, I petsit as a way to support other travelers and their beloved pets, while visiting places I would like to see and explore.

My Experience:

I have a lifetime of experience and most recently had a couple Jack Russell Terriers of my own (BIG dog, little body!) and have lived with a sweet tri-color Puggle, a Black Lab, a Springer-Beagle mix, and other mixed breeds. I have also had numerous petstays with dogs and cats of family and friends.

I joined the international petsit website (Trusted Housesitters) in 2017 and completed 3 petsits as a prelude to retirement - - and LOVED it! Now retired, I had planned to piece together an entire year of travel, through house and petsits, but plans shifted a bit with COVID.

As the world has reopened, I am back to traveling and exploring and supporting other travelers to meet their travel goals! I spent the summer of 2021 petsitting my way through France, and continue to petsit closer to home when schedules and availability align.

What I bring to the assignment:

I bring kindness and comfort to your pets and care and security to your home. As an experienced home and pet owner myself, I understand the trust being placed in my care with every house and petsit I am offered. I take my responsibility seriously and will care for your home and your pets as I would my own.

We have nothing but great things to say about housesitter Megan. She doted on our Reno cat, shared photos and updates pretty much daily, and clearly kept the house immaculate. It was spotless upon our return and she had even washed all the bed and bath linens, and cleaned the guest bath. Should the opportunity present itself, don't hesitate to have Megan sit for you. We recommend her without reservation.
